Siobhán McDonnell, born in Nova Scotia, received her training in Irish harp while attending school in Dublin, Ireland. After completing a BA in English/Music and an MA in Music Criticism, McDonnell worked for several years as a singer/actress and as a freelance Irish harpist. McDonnell died on September 2, 2005. .
