Ο Βαγγέλης Παπαθανασίου, γνωστός ως Vangelis, γεννήθηκε στις 29 Μαρτίου 1943 στην Βόλο της Ελλάδας. Από μικρή ηλικία έδειξε το ταλέντο του στη μουσική, μαθαίνοντας να παίζει πιάνο και να συνθέτει μουσική. Ο Vangelis έγινε διάσημος στη δεκαετία του 1970 για την ηλεκτρονική μουσική του και τις συνεργασίες του με διάφορους καλλιτέχνες.
